Activities for families & children

Our "Workshops for everyone" series explores specific themes from the exhibitions in a fun, creative way. Whether you are bringing your children, grandchildren, godchildren, or indeed visiting as an unaccompanied adult, these "Workshops for everyone" give people of all generations a chance to hammer, crush, combine, experiment and discover. A visit to the museum is an experience for the whole family.

An annual highlight is the "Construction site for everyone" workshop on the square in front of the museum. During the first week of the school holidays each spring, children and young people take up the challenge and build actual rooms – which are quite sizeable! – out of wooden battens and boards, using saws, cordless screwdrivers and plenty of imagination.

These workshops are very popular, so early registration is advisable. Please note the age recommendations.

Activities for families and children are held in German.
