This special presentation in the MATERIAL ARCHIV features projects by current Object Design students at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – School of Design and Art.

The MATERIAL ARCHIV is firmly established in the Swiss educational landscape – it documents some 1000 materials in the form of samples and in its online database. But how is the archive used? What influence does it have on product designers? In the Object Design course at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – School of Design and Art, developing and understanding of materials and their properties is given pride of place in the curriculum, and remains the point of departure for any design process. This special presentation features projects by current Object Design students to illustrate this approach.

A collaboration between the Gewerbemuseum Winterthur and the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – School of Design and Art.
